The Lynnhurst Choir

Join the Lynnhurst Choir!  No auditions necessary. We rehearse Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30 pm in the church lounge and briefly before the Sunday service at 9:30 am. The choir sings for most Sunday and at special services. We sing a wide variety of choral music ranging from classic to contemporary. You do not need to be a church member to join the choir. This Week's Music Notes

Music for Sunday, February 25, the second Sunday of Lent, includes several arrangements of familiar hymn tunes, including Sweet Hour of Prayer written in 1861 by Wm Bradbury and Benediction during the Postlude includes the hymns, Blest Be the Tie That Binds and God Be With You Till We Meet Again arranged by composer Mark Hayes (b 1953). Sunday's anthem will be Pié Jesu, written and premiered in New York City in 1985 as a movement from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Requiem. The anthem will be performed by Lynnhurst's Men of Note.
