This Week's Music Notes

Music for Sunday, February 18, the First Sunday of Lent, includes a setting of Lamb of God written in 1995 by Minneapolis-based composer Jay Beech (b. 1960) for his worship setting Cup of Blessing. The Offertory, Wonderful Peace, is an arrangement written by Wisconsin native William Gustin Cooper (1861-1938), and the Postlude, Chaconne, was written in 2003 by South Korean pianist Yiruma (b. 1978). Lee Ru-ma (Yiruma) was born in Seoul and raised in England, graduating from King’s College in 2000. Currently, he is a popular composer and concert pianist playing to sell-out crowds throughout Europe and Asia.

We warmly welcome vocalists Debi March and Mary Kay Willert to the service his morning! They will be leading the singing of the Benediction Listening Now. The congregation is invited to sing the repeat with Debi and Mary Kay.

Please join Lynnhurst in worship next Sunday, February 25, when music will be sung by Men of Note.
