Lynnhurst & the Arts

Lynnhurst Congregational Church has a long and proud history of supporting and promoting the Arts!  Our members and friends participate in many artistic endeavors from drawing classes and art exhibits in the Lynnhurst Gallery, to singing in the choir or playing in one or more of Lynnhurst’s many musical groups ranging from Folk and Bluegrass to String Quartets and Chamber music. To find out more about Music and Arts at Lynnhurst, contact and be sure to follow us on Facebook!

Lynnhurst Gallery

Lynnhurst is proud to have the opportunity to display the work of many local and nationally-shown artists. Lynnhurst’s art gallery, located in the Fellowship Hall, is a beautiful showcase for a wide variety of art pieces, including sculpture, paintings, photography, installations, fabric art and 3-dimensional constructions. The exhibits typically run for two months. The artist will typically provide a walk-through and answers questions when their show opens.

Now Showing!

The Music & Arts committee is pleased to present a show by Jan McLandsborough, including a collection of water color and ink paintings. Jan grew up surrounded by music and art. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Miami University in Ohio, but ended up working in special education, always staying involved in art.

Now in retirement, Jan has time to pursue her passion and thoroughly enjoys it. She loves the light, fluid freedom of watercolors, the intense color and challenge of alcohol inks, and the fun and creative medium of collage.

Gallery hours are by appointment. Please call 612-827-6157 to schedule a visit.
