Message from Pastor Cynthia

December 14, 2017

Dear Beloved Community,

Blessings from our God; who was and is and ever shall be.

Glorious! What a Glorious Lessons and Carols worship experience on our second Sunday of Advent, #morepeace. Thank you to Jay, Ben, Chancel Choir, Men of Note, Women’s Quartet and all our guest musicians.

I received a life-giving gift of being aware in the moment of a profound sense of experiencing peace in community with all of you. It was midway through the Choir Anthem, In Winter's Night, the wisdom voice within me said, “this is what it is like to experience peace in community.” Of course, the tears began to flow, it was so beautiful and life-altering. Have you experienced such a gift? Being present in the moment, being fully aware of the in-breaking Presence of peace. It is my ongoing prayer for each of you.

This Sunday is our Children and Youth Christmas Pageant worship. It is powerful, and peace and justice creating for our children and youth to embody the Christmas story. At the beginning of worship, we’ll continue our Advent and Christmas worship theme: Angels Among Us: Do Not Be Afraid and then transition into the Pageant as we celebrate the third Sunday of Advent, #morejoy.

The Advent and Christmas season is a wonderful opportunity to invite your friends and family to worship.

In gratitude to our God who calls us together to engage in life-giving, hope-stretching, justice-seeking, mutual ministry...

Blessings, Pastor Cynthia
